This quick reference explains how to dispatch a plan using the STARS program website. First, log in at <strong>www.starsprogram.org</strong> using your department’s STARS login email (formatted like <strong>Login@starsprogram.org</strong>, for example <strong>MedstarDispatch@starsprogram.org</strong>). Next, locate the patient’s plan. Patients are listed by <strong>STARS number (STARS #)</strong> and may already appear on your <strong>Dashboard</strong> after logging in. If the plan is not visible, use the search process: click <strong>“All STARS”</strong>, then enter the <strong>STARS #</strong> or the <strong>patient name</strong> into the <strong>Search</strong> field to find the correct record. Open the patient’s plan and press the designated button to proceed to dispatch. On the <strong>Dispatch Screen</strong>, choose the <strong>agency or agencies</strong> you are sending the plan to, and then select the specific <strong>units</strong> that are responding to the call. (Agency <strong>Admins</strong> will automatically receive the text notifications.) If you want to include everyone from an agency, you can select all agency users by toggling the button next to the agency’s name. Finally, click the <strong>Dispatch</strong> button located in the <strong>bottom-right</strong> corner of the screen. After dispatching, a brief confirmation message will appear at the bottom of the screen to indicate the dispatch was sent successfully.
