Objectives:
1. Differentiate between traditional STEMI criteria and the OMI paradigm for identifying acute coronary artery occlusion.
2. Recognize at least six ECG patterns associated with OMI, including posterior MI, Wellens syndrome, de Winter T waves, Sgarbossa criteria, Aslanger pattern, and terminal QRS distortion.
3. Apply OMI recognition principles to determine when rapid reperfusion and transport to a PCI-capable facility should be considered despite the absence of traditional STEMI criteria.
